The Greene County School District has selected its new activities director.
The position has been accepted by the current Activities Director at Des Moines Roosevelt, Todd Gordon. He is in his 14th year as a high school AD and has also served in that capacity at Treynor and Carlisle high schools. He also serves as the Iowa High School Athletic Directors’ Association President.
Gordon will replace Mitch Moore as the Rams AD, after the Greene County School Board terminated his contract with the district earlier this year, following Moore’s resignation as both the AD and head football coach in mid-December. Moore resigned to be the new head football coach at Des Moines Roosevelt.
The School Board is expected to formally hire Gordon at their regular meeting this Wednesday and Gordon will then start as AD effective July 1st.
