The 2018-19 season has been a tough one for the Perry Jayette basketball team.  Tonight, they enter regional play as a heavy underdog when they travel north to Boone to take on a Toreador team that handled them soundly twice during the regular season.  The Jayettes finished the regular season with a record of 1-19 and failed to win a game in the Raccoon River Conference.  Boone defeated Perry twice during the season winning in Boone 60-23 and more recently in Perry by a score of 62-29.  The Jayettes will look to get Molly Lutmer on track early tonight.  The talented junior scored just four points in the last meeting with the Toreadors after an excellent defensive performance by Maddie Danner.  Lutmer has put up all conference numbers this year leading Perry in scoring at 15 points per game while hitting 28% from 3-point land.

The winner of tonight’s game will travel to Gilbert Saturday for a Regional semifinal.  Shawn Kenney will have the play by play on KDLS tonight starting at 6:50.
