A mix of snow and ice is expected Monday afternoon through Tuesday in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday in Dallas, Greene and Guthrie counties, while a Winter Storm Warning is also in effect from 3 p.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service predicts patchy freezing drizzle will occur Monday shifting into heavy snow overnight. Total snow accumulations of 2-4 inches are expected with ice accumulations of a light glaze possible. Winds could also reach as high as 35 miles per hour. This next round of winter weather follows snowfall received over the weekend. Snow reports show that 4.3 inches of snow was recorded in Stuart, and 5.3 inches was recorded in Adel Sunday.
