The Adel Public Library is hosting a couple events in the coming weeks, one with a holiday twist, and the other with small animals.
This Wednesday, the library is inviting teens and tweens who are fed up with the trappings of the “greeting-card holiday” to their annual “Down with Cupid” Anti-Valentine’s Day party. Attendees will meet at 4 p.m. in the library’s community room, where they will make black duct tape roses, compose “black-out” poetry, and play games. There will be snacks provided, and the library promises that none of it will be heart-shaped.
On the following Tuesday, February 19th, the Adel Library will once again be welcoming “Critter” Cindy Blobaum from Dallas County Conservation. She will bring some of her famous small animal-related education materials for a special kids story time, which will start at 10:30 a.m. All programs at the Adel Library are free to attend, and neither of the upcoming events require registration. To learn more, stop into the library or visit their website, AdelPL.org.
