Wednesday, February 6th

8:11am: A Traffic Stop was performed at Harrison and Cedar Streets resulting in Alexander Roberts of Jefferson was cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

9:55am: The Specialty Clinic requested a Welfare Check on a male at 304 South Wilson Avenue, after he did not show up for his appointment. The officers contacted the land lord to gain entry into the apartment. The male was sick in bed, but okay.

10:21am: Alliant Energy requested officers to assist a female at 507 East Monroe Street, who’s carbon monoxide detector was going off. The officers determined the detector was faulty and needed replaced.

7:59pm: Amy Baugh reported an electric overhead wire was down across her vehicle at 401 North Chestnut Street. Alliant Energy was contacted and repaired the wire. The was no damage to the vehicle.

******** An officer has requested an Arrest Warrant for Robert Richard Kovar, 34 of Jefferson for, “Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth) 2nd Offense – Aggravated.” The warrant resulted from positive testing for meth on items Kovar’s person during an arrest on 12/08/2018.
