The Greene County Historical Society begins its 2019 programming this weekend with a special event.

The public is invited to “The Past, Present and Future of Sports Photography” at the Greene County Historical Museum at 2pm on Sunday. The Carroll Daily Times Herald Photographer Jeff Storjohann and Jefferson Herald Photographer and sports writer Brandon Hurley will lead the program. Storjohann is in his 26th year with the Carroll newspaper and has a photojournalism degree from Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo. Hurley is a graduate of the University of Iowa School of Journalism and has been with the Jefferson newspaper for 2 ½ years, regularly contributes to the Carroll newspaper as well.

Sunday’s program is free and open to the public, with free refreshments to be served. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own cameras and photos to get tips.
