dallas-vote-300x225-20

Don’t forget: today the registered voters who live in the Perry School District are asked to vote on the bond referendum issue.

The only polling location for the election is the McCreary Community Building, which will be open from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Voters will decide whether or not to approve $6.5 million in general obligation bonds to build a new industrial technology facility and wrestling/multipurpose room. In order for the measure to pass, at least 60% of the votes cast must be “Yes.”

Voters are reminded that they will need to bring a valid photo ID to the polling location in order to cast their ballot. If you don’t have one, you can still fill out a provisional ballot and bring your ID to the Dallas County Auditor’s Office in Adel any time before Monday, February 11th. Another option is to have an attestor, which is a registered voter who vouches for your identity and resident status. Additionally, if you’re not already registered to vote, you can do so at the poll, but you will need to provide proof of residence.

Be sure to listen to Raccoon Valley Radio tonight once the poll closes for the results of the special election.
