The top scoring performance in the Raccoon River Conference this winter came against the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys basketball team on December 11. Carlisle senior Colin Lister poured in a career-high 43 points against the Tigers in Adel, but ADM managed to walk away with a 66-60 victory. Lister hoisted 33 shots during the game, converting six of his 11 three-point shots and making seven of 11 free throw attempts. The next best scoring output in the league came from Bondurant-Farrar senior Jordan Collins who produced 32 points against the Creston Panthers on December 3. ADM head boys basketball coach Aaron Mager told Raccoon Valley Radio on December 11 that he felt they played pretty good defense against Lister the first time around. “Obviously, tip your hat to Colin Lister for a fabulous individual game,” Mager said, “In most of those (shot attempts) I thought he was well guarded. We had guys in his face; we had two or three blocks on him. You don’t ever want anyone scoring 20 let alone 43 on you individually speaking, but we’ll take the win. That’s where our focus is.”

The loss in Adel started a seven-game overall losing skid for Carlisle, but the Wildcats have won three of their previous four contests overall. Carlisle edged the Winterset Huskies, 65-64, last Friday at home. ADM is coming off a 62-57 loss last night at the hands of the Carroll Tigers. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will bring you live play by play coverage of ADM and Carlisle tonight on True Country K 107.9, raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KKRF mobile app. Pregame comments start around 5:30 p.m., the varsity girls game tips off at 6 p.m. with the varsity boys contest to follow from Carlisle High School.
