Grant applications are now being accepted for this year’s granting cycle with the Jefferson Rotary Club.

The local rotary organization estimates they will give away about $35,000 in grant funds this year. The funds were made possible through their charity auction from this past November. In leading up to its 20th auction, Jefferson Rotary has given over $440,000 in grants to help schools, libraries, community organizations and other groups that benefit Greene County’s quality of life.

The applications are open to any non-profit organization whose programs or projects benefit others in the areas of: peace, conflict resolution and other social issues; fighting disease and promoting health; providing clean water/environmental issues; economic and community development; and youth/education and literacy. Applications can be found at the Greene County Chamber and Tourism office, Greene County Extension, Jefferson and Churdan libraries, Home State Bank and all Peoples Bank locations in the county.

The deadline to submit an application is February 25th. It must be either postmarked or emailed by then to be eligible. To learn more, click the link below.
