A member of the West Central Valley varsity football team will continue his playing career for the defending champions of NAIA football.

Senior Carson Wadle took to Twitter Tuesday evening, tweeting out his intentions to sign a letter of intent with the Morningside College Mustangs College football team in Sioux City. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network reached out with West Central Valley head coach Eric Addy Wednesday afternoon and confirmed Wadle’s verbal commitment with Morningside College. Addy said the Mustangs coaching staff is wanting to bring him into the program as a linebacker prospect. Wadle was a second team all-district performer last fall for the Wildcats football team. As West Central Valley’s starting quarter, Wadle threw for 1,242 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Defensively, he accounted for 49.5 total tackles, six total tackles, and one fumble recovery. The Mustangs football team ended the 2018 season as the NAIA National Champions, winning all 15 games played this fall.
