Tuesday, January 29th

12:57am: An officer checked on an Alarm Activation at the Jefferson Public Library, located at 200 West Lincoln Way Street. All doors and windows were secure.

7:07am: A caller requested an officer at 107 East Vest Street and advised his girlfriend had assaulted him. The officers arrived and learned of a verbal argument, not an assault. The parties separated for the remainder of the day.

12:37pm: Child Support Recovery workers advised of a possible Suicidal Female in Jefferson. The officers were able to contact the female, who advised she was fine.

12:48pm: Officers assisted an elderly female in the 100 Block of East Adams Street, who had locked herself out of her residence. The officers were able to gain entry to the house.

1:53pm: Brinda Brown reported damage to a rock retaining wall at 109 Harding road. It appeared that a vehicle had backed into the structure, causing damage to it. The officer gathered some vehicle debris left at the scene and is investigating the event.

5:09pm: Pat Peterson reported concern for a Husky tied outside in the 800 Block of West State Street. The officer spoke to the animal’s owner, who advised the animal scratches on the door when it is ready to come inside. The officer checked several times throughout his shift and did not see the animal back outside.

7:40pm: Officers assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of South Grimmell Road.

11:05pm: A PAWS worker requested an officer to make a Welfare Check on a dog tied outside at 304 East McKinley Street. The officer checked and did not locate an animal outside at the address. The worker called in a short time later with the same request. Again, the officer checked and found no animal outside, just a chain lying on the ground.
