Several Guthrie County high school speech groups have advanced to the State Large Group Speech Contest this Saturday.
Panorama High School sent 10 group speech events to the District Contest this past weekend, and seven received a Division 1 rating and have qualified to compete at State: Choral Reading, Ensemble Acting, Short Film, two Musical Theater groups, Reader’s Theater, and TV News.
West Central Valley High School sent five groups to District and four of them have qualified for State. Three improv groups and an Ensemble Acting group will be competing next weekend.
The Iowa High School Speech Association State Large Group Contest takes place this Saturday at West Des Moines Valley High School.
