The eighth ranked Class 2A Panorama girls easily won Monday night’s non-conference basketball game in Panora on Monday night over Greene County. The Panthers are 16-1 while the Rams fell to 0-17. Greene County led 4-3 before the Panthers scored 26 unanswered points for a 29-4 lead. The contest was heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
The Panthers were led by senior Bailey Beckman with 19 points and senior Morgan Johnk with 13. Panorama played all 15 players suited for the game and they still shot 51% from the floor. The Panthers also made 15 of 17 free throws.
Greene County made just six field goals including one shot from three-point range. The Rams had just two free throws, making one. Sophomore Sadie Wilson had five points, all in the last quarter, and she was Greene County’s top scorer.
The Rams were scheduled to play in Story City vs. Roland-Story tonight, but that girl/boy doubleheader has been postponed until Monday, Feb. 4.
