The Jefferson Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #9599 is hosting a soup supper fundraiser tonight.

The public is invited to the VFW Hall to enjoy chicken noodle soup, chili, drinks and desserts for a free-will donation. The meal will be served from 5 to 8pm. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Post Commander James Wasson says they are making their building more accessible for the public.

“We are open every morning, Monday through Friday, from right around 8 o’clock (am) til normally about 10 or 11. Everybody and anybody is welcomed to come in and have a cup of coffee and talk with us, and we invite veterans in. Every Saturday, we will be doing a ‘meet and greet’ in the mornings from 6 to 9. We want to be open for the community and the veterans.”

There’s no pre-registration needed for tonight’s soup supper fundraiser and raffle event.
