Due to inclement weather Thursday night, the Perry Chamber of Commerce elected to postpone their Sesquicentennial Trivia Contest.

The event is a fundraiser for the sesquicentennial celebration scheduled for Fourth of July weekend, and will feature some Perry-themed questions. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says while many were disappointed by the event being postponed, she’s hopeful that by delaying it more people will be able to attend. “So we were really looking forward to this, sort of on the Chamber side, but also as a larger community committee for the sesquicentennial, as our very first fundraising event for that celebration. But with the cold and wind chill and all that stuff, we’re rescheduling that for February 7th, still at the same time, 6:30 (p.m.). So we’ll look forward to hopefully getting more folks either that were planning on coming, or just needed more time to think about it, or didn’t want to brave the weather. And we’ll have fun with it even two weeks later!”

Cost to participate in the trivia contest is $10 per person, and teams can have a maximum of eight people. To learn more about this and other upcoming Perry Chamber events, listen to today’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program on air and at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
