After final interviews were held this week, the next superintendent for Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Schools is anticipated to be announced this Monday.

Guthrie Center School Board President Wes Policky tells Raccoon Valley Radio that after final interviews were held Wednesday and a joint board closed session was held Thursday night, the two school boards have come to a consensus and have extended the superintendent offer to one of the three finalists. Those finalists were Shane Christensen, who serves as a junior high principal in the West Des Moines School District; Kurt DeVore, who serves as the Director of Information, Systems and Instructional Technology for the Decorah School District; and Dennis McClain, who serves as the superintendent and elementary principal for Clay Central Everly Schools.

Policky says the Districts hope to announce the new superintendent this Monday after the offer is officially accepted. The new superintendent would begin his duties on July 1st.
