Don’t forget: tomorrow at noon, the Perry Chamber of Commerce is set to welcome Swan Antics to downtown Perry with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
The event is the first such celebration of 2019, though it will be followed by two more next week. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says they had 16 ribbon cuttings in 2018, and she’s excited to get this year off on the right foot with three events in the first month. “Just the variety that we have with the ribbon cuttings, whether it’s a completely new business, new ownership or expansion, or they’re new Chamber members. That’s what we see with our ribbon cuttings, and we count them all the same when we say we had 16 last year. But (we’re) really celebrating the growth in Perry with those.”
Tomorrow’s ribbon cutting at Swan Antics, which is located at the corner of Lucinda and 2nd Street, will include a free lunch for attendees. After that, the next event will be on Wednesday, January 30th at 11 a.m. for Osmundson Manufacturing, which is celebrating joining the Chamber and new owner Heather Bruce. The following day, the giant scissors will make an appearance at Ben’s Five and Dime at 11 a.m. for a ribbon cutting to celebrate their new owner Andrea Tunink. Each event is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.
