ACGC WrestlingThe ACGC wrestling team is gearing up for the annual Charger Invitational in Guthrie Center Saturday. When the grapplers in gold and black reach the mats, one will be carrying a top-ten ranking. Senior Blaine Beeler will enter the tournament as The Predicament’s #9 ranked wrestler in the 120 pound weight class.

Beeler, who is coming off a 2nd place finish at the John J. Harris Invitational in Corning last weekend, has a record of 31-8. Head coach Shawn Danker referenced Beeler’s focus as pivotal to the senior’s success this season. “He’s well deserving of that. He’s been working hard. He’s very consistent. He’s got a pretty good vision in his head of what he wants to accomplish. He understands nothing is going to be easy.”

Beeler will be looking to defend his title this weekend at 120 pounds. Two other top ten wrestlers are expected to hit the mats in the same class: Southeast Warren’s Randy Jimenez (#7) and Underwood’s Weston Allen (#8). The JV competition begins around 8am with the varsity bouts to begin around 11am from the gymnasiums at ACGC High School in Guthrie Center.
