The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach offices of Dallas and Madison counties are offering a special program this spring that aims to teach people the ins and outs of beekeeping.
Extension is offering “Beekeeping, Next Steps,” an event presented by ISU Agriculture Specialist Zack Koopman. The classroom-based presentation is the continuation of the recent “Beekeeping Basics” program, and organizers promise it will further expand the attendees’ knowledge of proper care of bees. The event will be held on March 12th at the Dallas County Fairgrounds from 5:30-7:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend the class, though preregistration is required.
You can register by reaching out to Aleta Cochran with Dallas County Extension at aleta@iastate.edu, or Nicole Navin with Madison County at nnavin@iastate.edu. For more information, call 515-993-4281.
