Positive moments have been hard to come by this winter for the West Central Valley Wildcats varsity boys basketball team. The Wildcats are in the midst of a six-game losing streak but found some offensive success against the Saydel Eagles Thursday night. West Central Valley posted a new year high 31 points in a lopsided nonconference loss to the Eagles (84-31). The Wildcats hold a 1-13 overall record with their lone victory coming December 20, 67-52, at home against Southeast Warren. West Central Valley had Friday’s West Central Activites Conference doubleheader against the Madrid Tigers postponed to today due to winter weather. The varsity girls’ game tips off around 6 p.m., and the boys’ contest will follow from Madrid High School.
