acgcThe ACGC basketball teams will host a regularly scheduled non-conference doubleheader when they welcome the Southwest Valley Timberwolves tonight. It will be the first regular season meeting for the girls and the first ever meeting for the boys.

Southwest Valley comes into Guthrie Center with a record of 12-4, having won seven of their last eight.

The boys game will feature two teams with one combined victory in 2019. The Timberwolves are coming off their lone win of the new year after defeating East Union, 62-51. Junior Christian McCuen is the team’s leading scorer this season, averaging around 11 points per game. The Chargers have dropped six consecutive games since the start of 2019. The gold and black have failed to score 60 points in each of those six defeats. The team is 4-1 when scoring at least 60 points in a game. Southwest Valley is winless when allowing 60 points in a game this season.
