The next event in the Perry Fine Arts concert series is today, and the public is invited to listen to a modern string quartet.

Quartet 515 is a Des Moines-based group that will be featured at the Perry Performing Arts Center today at 2 p.m. The group will play a variety of selections, ranging from well-known classical arrangements to modern favorites like “Over the Rainbow,” and “La Vie en Rose.” They regularly perform with the Des Moines Symphony and other community orchestras, though the musicians’ love of chamber music led to the formation of Quartet 515. There is no cost to attend the performance, though free-will donations are always accepted. Any proceeds will help fund future Perry Fine Arts Concerts.

The Fine Arts Committee also expresses their thanks to the Bock Family Foundation, whose recent donation helped make today’s concert possible.
