7:30am: Prairie Meadows requested a Welfare Check on a female employee who lives in Jefferson but had not shown up for work. The officer learned she had stayed in DSM overnight and sent the info. Back to Prairie Meadows.
12:52pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 400 Block of Greenewood Road.
3:27pm: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of South Elm Street resulted in Gaylee Richter of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
3:33pm: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Property Accident in the 100 Block of North Elm Street. A 2003 Pontiac Bonneville owned and operated by Phyliss Staebler of Jefferson was southbound in the outside lane and attempted to merge into the inside lane. Staebler struck a southbound vehicle travelling in the inside lane beside her. The 2010 Ford Econoline Van was owned and operated by Alexis Hooper of Grand Junction. Each vehicle had a reported $5000.00 in damages. Staebler was cited for, “Fail to Maintain Control.”
2:54pm: Two Jefferson officers assisted The Greene County Sheriff’s Office with the execution of a Search Warrant and arrest of Rodney Halterman at 1028 130th Street in Churdan.
4:06pm: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Property Damage Accident at North Maple and West Clark Street. A 1993 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup, owned by Kirk Geisler and operated by Justin Geisler both of Scranton, was northbound on Maple and struck an eastbound vehicle at the intersection with Clark Street. The 2017 Ford Escape was owned by Debra Taggart of Scranton. The Geisler vehicle had a reported $10,000.00 in damages, while the Taggart vehicle suffered a reported $15,000.00 in damages. Taggart was cited for, “Fail to Yield to Vehicle on Right.”
