The sentencing hearing for Marc and Misty Ray of Perry has been moved up an hour due to the potential of significant snowfall Friday afternoon.
Fifth Judicial Court Judge Terry Rickers made the decision Thursday evening to move the couple’s hearing from 2 to 1 p.m. to try and get ahead of the snow storm. The Rays both recently pleaded guilty to felony charges related to the death of their adopted daughter, Sabrina Ray, on May 12, 2017. Misty entered a guilty plea for first degree kidnapping, a class A felony that has a minimum sentence of life in prison without parole, as well as two class C felonies for third degree kidnapping. Marc pleaded guilty to child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony, and three counts of third degree kidnapping. He faces a maximum sentence of 80 years in prison with opportunity for parole after 35 years.
Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you live coverage from the Dallas County Courthouse Friday afternoon following the sentencing hearing.
