The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday.

The meeting began with approval of a funding request of $2,350 from Midwest Partnership and approval of a confidentiality and nondisclosure agreement with Central Iowa Power Cooperative and Guthrie County Rural Electric Company as part of amending their wholesale power agreement. Next, the Council approved a resolution for a grant agreement with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for the low-head dam safety cost share program. The City recently received $18,200 in cost share funding from the DNR for the exploratory and design phase of their Lenon Mill Dam River Trail project.

The Council also approved authorizing engineering services from Snyder and Associates for a water line replacement project south of Main Street. Finally, the Council approved reappointing Dave Carstens to the Veterans Memorial Auditorium Commission and the 2019 fire department and EMS rosters.
