When a high school wrestling team has only two varsity home dates, you have the home opener and the home finale. The home finale for the Greene County Rams is tonight in the middle school gym in Jefferson with Heart of Iowa Activities Conference opponents North Polk (Alleman) and Roland-Story (Story City). It’s also Senior Night for the Rams and action starts at 6 p.m.

Greene County is 14-8 overall in dual meets under first year head coach Zach Beekman, and the Rams are 3-2 in the conference. NP is 6-9 and 3-2, while R-S is 6-10 and 3-3.

Coach Beekman had a difficult time filling the lineup late last week due mainly to injuries and illness. It’s not exactly known at this time how many of the 14 weight classes the Rams will fill, or who they will fill them with.
