Monday, January 14th
8:47am: A caller advised of a trailer parked in the roadway in the 500 Block of Hillcrest. The officer contacted the owner and advised him on the City Ordinance on trailers allowing 2-hour street parking. The trailer was removed from the street.
9:04am: The Greene County Middle School advised of a student at 203 West Harrison Street, who they believed to be possessing marijuana at the school. The officers made contact with the 13-year-old male and a parent. The officers were given consent by the boy’s parent to perform a Consent Search on the juvenile and his locker. The officers recovered a small bud of marijuana from the locker. It is expected a Juvenile Charge of, “Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 1st Offense – Serious will be sent to the Juvenile Court for the male juvenile.
10:45am: Officers assisted the Medical Examiner with a Death Investigation in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street.
12:05pm: Rhonda Randleman requested a Welfare Check on a female in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street. The officers did not locate the female at her apartment, but management spoke to the female later in the day and she was fine.
12:05pm: Officers investigated a reported Hit & Run Accident at the High School parking lot at 101 Ram Drive. A 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, owned by Marty McDonald of Scranton, was struck while parked in the lot causing a reported $1000.00 in damages. The officer is investigating to identify the other vehicle involved.
10:08pm: An officer checked with residents at 706 West Madison Street after dispatch received a 911 Hang Up Call from the residence. Officers learned a child had called 911, but all was fine.
