The Stuart City Council will convene in regular session this evening.
The meeting will begin with discussion of Scoop the Loop event dates with resident Bob Cook and an update from Depot committee member Doris Bench. Next, City Engineer Forrest Aldrich will present preliminary designs for a possible third phase of the Wambold Housing Addition. The Council will then consider a request for financial assistance through the Blight Housing Program from Mike Johnson, and consider a removal proposal of the nuisance property at 512 South Summit. The Council will also discuss the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Community Catalyst Building Remediation grant program, and hear a purchase proposal of the Farmers Mutual Insurance building. Finally, the Council will consider for approval the residential tax abatement applications, a contribution to the Tri-Center Association’s congregate meals program, and appointments to the planning and zoning board and the board of adjustment.
