If you’re an adult in the Jefferson area and are needing something to do this winter, the Jefferson Public Library is starting up their Adult Winter Reading Program soon.

Library Director Jane Millard says this year’s theme is “Once Upon a Crime” and they will explore the murder and mystery genre of the library. “We are putting the ‘fun’ into crime solving this winter at the library with a murder mystery party, mystery book discussion, a mystery movie and a mystery game day complete with disguises, clues, suspects, mugshots, fingerprints and top secret files full of lots of fun activities related to our theme.”

She points out that there are activity packets available for participants and the program runs from January 14th through March 23rd. Adults can join at anytime, as long as they have a library card, which is free to obtain. To learn more about the program, stop by the library or call them at 386-2835.
