Former Clark Plumbing and Heating building will be the future site of the Greene County ARC

Now that the Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC) has a new home, they need volunteers to help renovate the current space.

Volunteers are needed this coming Monday and Tuesday starting at 9am at their new location, 1006 North Vine Street – the former Clark Plumbing and Heating building – to help do some demolition work. Some of the work that is needed includes: removing carpet and vinyl flooring and removing a dividing wall.

Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately, since the building is not heated. Volunteers are also asked to wear gloves and sturdy shoes, along with bringing a crowbar and a hammer to help with the demolition process. Work is expected to last until mid-afternoon both days.

The building was officially purchased on December 27th. Donations are still needed for the renovation process. Donations can be dropped off to the current location of the food pantry on Harrison Street. The food pantry will remain open at the current location until the new location is open.
