A reminder: this coming Wednesday is the first of two opportunities for Perry residents to dispose of their live Christmas trees.

The program is offered as a free service to normal garbage customers in the City, and will run on January 9th and 16th. People are asked to place any evergreen trees, garlands, and wreaths on their curb before 7 a.m. on those days to ensure pickup. The greenery must have all decorations removed, and it is not to be placed in disposal bags. The City of Perry offers tree disposal every year as part of residents’ normal garbage bills. Anyone with questions is encouraged to reach out to Perry City Hall at 515-465-2481.
