The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Wednesday for the 2019 organizational meeting.

The meeting began with Magistrate Judge David Morain swearing in all elected officials from the November 2018 midterm elections, including: Supervisors Dawn Rudolph and Tom Contner, County Treasurer Katlynn Gannon-Mechaelsen and County Recorder Marcia Tasler. County Attorney Thomas Laehn was sworn in by District Court Judge William Ostlund. Supervisor John Muir was then appointed Board Chair and Rudolph was appointed Vice-Chair.

The Board then approved other organizational items for 2019. Regular board meetings will continue to be Mondays at 8:30am in the boardroom of the Greene County Courthouse, with Thursday meetings to take place during budget time. The Jefferson Herald and Scranton Journal were designated as the official newspapers for the county and there were no changes to any board committees or board assignments.
