Two former conference rivals are meeting up in Adel tonight for bragging rights on the wrestling mat. The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity wrestlers welcome the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs to town for their annual nonconference dual meet. The ADM Youth Wrestling program will be recognized before the varsity dual this evening. Dallas Center-Grimes is considered a Class 3A wrestling squad, bringing a pair of ranked grapplers into tonight’s dual with ADM. Senior Luke Fistler represents the Mustangs as the ninth-ranked wrestlers at 152 pounds according to the Predicament. Junior Zach Needham is the other DCG wrestlers in the publication’s top 10 poll, entering tonight rated No. 4 at 182 pounds. The Class 2A Tigers will counter with three ranked wrestlers highlighted by last year’s state champion Andrew Flora. Flora, the Minnesota State University wrestling committ, is the Predicament’s No. 1 grappler at 126-pounds. Junior Kaden Sutton is rated No. 6 at 220 pounds while senior Nolan Harsh represents ADM as the No. 7 wrestler at 182 pounds. Tonight’s nonconference dual between ADM and Dallas Center-Grimes commences at 6:30 p.m. from ADM’s North Gym.
