One holiday is behind us, but another is coming up, so Perry, Adel, and Dallas County remind residents of closures for New Year’s.

For Perry, all City offices and the Water Works Department will be open December 31st, but closed on January 1st. The Perry Public Library will be open on New Year’s Eve from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and will be closed New Year’s Day. Meanwhile, the McCreary Community Building will be closed both days in observance of the holiday. As a reminder, garbage routes scheduled for Monday will be picked up as normal, but Tuesday’s routes will instead be picked up Wednesday.

In Adel, all City offices and the public library will be closed both New Year’s Eve and Day, and all garbage routes will be delayed by one day. Finally, all Dallas County offices will be open December 31st and closed January 1st, including the courthouse, Department of Motor Vehicles, and driver’s license station. Additionally, the Board of Supervisors will meet Wednesday morning at 9 a.m., instead of Tuesday. All city and County offices will be open for normal business on Wednesday, January 2nd.
