Preparations for the 2019 Guthrie County Fair are already beginning with an event next week.

The 4-H beef weigh-in will be held on Saturday, January 5th from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Guthrie County Livestock Auction. All lead market beef, steers and heifers, feeder pens, and market return bucket calves must be weighed and verified for entry in the county fair, state fair, and the Aksarben Stock Show. All county fair cattle must have ear tags, which are $2. A $5 retinal imaging fee is required for the state fair, in addition to the ear tag. Cattle showing at Aksarben are also $5 per head.
