Residents in Adair and the surrounding area who are interested in doing year-end giving are encouraged to donate funds to the local fire department.

Adair Fire and Rescue is hoping to raise $50,000 from the community to complete the funding needed for their fire station project. With the matching dollars, they would receive a $50,000 donation from the Adair Community Foundation and pledges totaling $50,000 from Schafer Systems and Agri Grain Corp. A new building has been built in the location of the previous station, which was torn down last June. The final donations would go towards the concrete and interior finishing work for this larger building. Adair Fire and Rescue is also selling commemorative coins for a $10 donation.
