As we say goodbye to 2018, Guthrie County residents should be aware of many closures happening around the New Year’s holiday next week.

The Guthrie County Courthouse will be closed on Tuesday, January 1st, and the Board of Supervisors will have their regular meeting on Wednesday the 2nd at 9 a.m. Stuart City Hall will be closed on Monday the 31st and Tuesday the 1st, and the Guthrie Center and Panora city halls will be closed on the 1st. Garbage routes in each city will be unaffected. The Stuart Public Library is closed now through January 1st, the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library in Guthrie Center will be open from noon-3 p.m. on the 31st and closed on the 1st, and the Panora Public Library will be open from noon-4 p.m. on the 31st and closed on the first. The Guthrie County Extension and Outreach office will be closed on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, and all post offices will be closed on New Year’s Day.
