Monday is Christmas Eve and Tuesday is Christmas Day, so here’s a reminder of what public offices in Dallas County will be closed in observance of the holiday.

In Perry, all City offices, the Water Works Department, and the McCreary Community Building are closed both days. The Perry Public Library will be open the 24th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., and will be closed the 25th. Garbage routes scheduled for Monday will be picked up as normal, but there will be no pick-up on Tuesday so those normally scheduled for then will instead have service on Wednesday. In Adel, all City offices and the public library will be closed both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and garbage pick-up will be delayed by one day this week.

Additionally, all Dallas County offices will be closed the 24th and 25th, including the courthouse, driver’s license station, and Department of Motor Vehicles. There will also be no Board of Supervisors meeting this week. Finally, most banking institutions and all local post offices will be open on Christmas Eve, though they will all be closed Christmas Day.
