The final road trip of the calendar year resulted in two wins for the Panorama Panthers basketball programs Thursday night. The Panthers visited the Mount Ayr Raiders in southern Iowa last night. Class 2A’s No. 6 Panthers used an 18-4 first-quarter run to displace the Raiders, 63-26. Senior Bailey Beckman outscored the Raiders by herself, posting a season-high 34 points in the victory. The Panther boys basketball team edged Mount Ayr, 58-50, in the nightcap. Four Panthers poured in double-digit points in the victory. Sophomore Zach Rizzuti tops Panorama with 14 points while senior Gracen Welburg and junior Kolby Shackleford added 12 each. The Panorama boys basketball team has one more game before the holiday break, hosting the Woodward Academy Knights this evening in a West Central Activities Conference contest.
