homemade Christmas goodies

The time is almost here for people seeking to satisfy their sweet tooth while helping a good local cause, as the pick-up for the Perry Lutheran Homes’ Homemade Christmas Goodies is this Saturday.

For a $15 suggested donation towards the PLH Resident Activity Fund, you can get an 8×8-inch box crammed with a wide assortment of holiday treats. Director of Marketing Mollie Clark feels the fundraiser is a win-win for everyone, as PLH gets some needed funding and the community gets some sweets for their holiday get-togethers. She adds, the proceeds from the goodie boxes will help provide fun, interesting, and meaningful activities that bring joy and purpose to their residents on a daily basis.

Ordering ahead of Saturday is recommended, though it’s not required, and there is no limit to the amount of boxes you can purchase. They include a mix of treats, including: fudge, divinity, caramels, peanut butter balls, peanut brittle, toffee, nut bar fudge, dipped pretzels, candy cane almond bark, Rice Krispie treats, peanut butter fudge, caramel pecan pretzels, coconut bon bons, and more. Pick-up will be Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and noon at the Perry Lutheran Homes Willis Avenue Campus.
