A busy start to the boys’ basketball season for the Greene County Rams will wrap up tomorrow night. The Rams will be in their tenth game of the season when Boone Toreadors visit the middle school gym in Jefferson on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. It’s boys’ only action with the varsity game set to begin around 7:30 p.m. Coach Chris Nelson’s team is 4-5 after dropping two games this week, despite scoring well.

Greene County lost in Woodward to Woodward-Granger on Monday by a final of 80-70, then Nevada topped the Rams 77-69 on Tuesday night in Des Moines inside Wells Fargo Arena. The Rams have allowed anywhere from 77 to 95 points in six of their nine games. The contests this week saw the Hawks and Cubs both score 24 points above their season average. In the other three games this season, opponents have scored just 46, 47, and 50 points, and all three of those games were victories.

Boone is also one game under the .500 mark, at 3-4. The Toreadors are coming off a home court loss on Tuesday to Bondurant-Farrar by a 62-60 score.
