acgcThe ACGC boys basketball and wrestling teams will be in action tonight for the final time in 2018.

The basketball team will welcome one of Class 1A’s best players in senior Ben Obert when the Chargers host the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders in a rivalry and non-conference matchup. After dropping their two opening contests, the Crusaders have rattled off five straight wins. Obert, who is averaging 25 points per game, has over half of the team’s points. He is 6th in Class 1A for average nightly scoring and tops in the Rolling Valley Conference.

For the Chargers, junior Bryce Littler is surging on the offensive end. Littler, who has already crossed the 100 point threshold after seven games this season, leads the team averaging 15 points per contest. Littler is coming off a career high 27 point performance against West Central Valley. The Chargers have lost both previous cracks at the Crusaders by eleven. The ACGC wrestling team will travel to Van Meter for a final dual quadrangular. The two other schools joining the Chargers and host Van Meter-Earlham are Woodward-Granger and East Union. The Chargers come into the night with a dual record of 7-1, winning all three duals inside the West Central Activities Conference. The duals begin around 5:30 from Van Meter High School.
