RVR Fest of Trees

If you haven’t yet made your way into the Carnegie Library Museum in Perry to see this year’s Festival of Trees, time is running out.

Hometown Heritage has been hosting the festival since November 17th, and it will wrap up this Sunday. It includes over 40 holiday-themed displays, which were created by local businesses and individuals, including Raccoon Valley Radio. There is no cost to attend, though Hometown Heritage Program Coordinator Karol Crosbie says there are a few avenues through which the public can donate money. The first is to vote on which of the offerings is your favorite, which requires a donation in the name of the chosen display. Participants are searching for the bragging rights associated with having the entry that generates the most votes and the highest amount of donations. The second way to contribute is through the free-will donation box located in the museum, which is available year-round.
