Closing each half was a problem Tuesday night for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys basketball teams. ADM hosted Carroll last night in their first league meeting of the winter. ADM, who scored 17 points in the first quarter and 18 points in the third, accounted for 17 points combined in the second and fourth quarters in a 58-51 loss. ADM had a 17-6 lead after the first quarter but trailed 28-26 at halftime after Carroll poured in 22 points in the second period. ADM held a 43-39 lead entering the fourth quarter before Carroll closed the game on a 19-8 run. Junior Jaxson Milsap led ADM with 15 points on five made three-point baskets. The loss snaps a five-game winning streak for ADM, dropping the Tigers to 5-2 overall. The ADM boys basketball team closes the 2018 portion of their season tomorrow night at home versus the North Polk Comets.
