Monday night saw the West Central Valley girls basketball team ( 2-5 overall;1-4 WCAC) drop another close contest inside the West Central Activites Conference. The Wildcats hosted the AC/GC Chargers (4-4 overall; 3-3 WCAC) last night to kick off a three-game week before the holiday break. The two Guthrie County neighbors went down to the wire with the Wildcats on the short end of a 47-44 result. West Central Valley had a chance to tie with 10 seconds remaining but turned the ball over in the final seconds to secure the final outcome. AC/GC snaps a three-game losing skid thanks to 10 points apiece from seniors Jadeyn Carrick and Sierra O’Brien. West Central Valley dropped their fourth league contest by six points or less. The Wildcats were led in scoring by senior Joelle Grubbs with 15 points. West Central Valley returns to the court Thursday at home against Southeast Warren.
