A Jefferson woman faces several charges for an alleged assault.

According to the Jefferson Police Department, an officer and a Greene County Deputy responded to the incident at 8:25am Saturday in the 600 block of South Olive Street. During the investigation, the officer interviewed the victim and the accused female was still at the residence. Following the investigation, the officer arrested 23-year-old Kelsy Diane Jean Reed.

She has been charged with a Class B Felony for first degree burglary, an aggravated misdemeanor for first degree harassment, serious misdemeanors for assault causing bodily injury and assault on a peace officer and simple misdemeanors for fifth degree criminal mischief, interference with official acts and disorderly conduct.

Reed was booked and released on her own recognizance from the Greene County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
