Jefferson Matters: Main Street is in the middle of their investment drive for 2019.
Program Director Peg Raney says the theme for their investment drive is “We Aim High” and their goal is to raise $69,000. The funds will be used for projects that JMMS has slated for the year. She describes an extra incentive for those who invest with JMMS by the end of December.
“Everyone who makes an investment, no matter what level, they’ll be entered into a drawing. We’ll put all the names in and draw out and that person can invite, there’ll be four of them, to go to Rosie and Ray Tucker’s loft above Sensibly Chic and have dinner catered by D.C. Bland, the new chef in town.”
Raney points out another way JMMS is bringing awareness to their investment drive is through an Investment Drive Tower. It is a small version of the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower located outside of the Main Street office. People can see the progress as it gets marked in green as the different goal levels are reached.
