The buzz around the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys basketball team continues to grow after another win this weekend on the road. ADM spent Saturday afternoon battling the Gilbert Tigers in a nonconference showdown. A 20 point fourth quarter propelled ADM past Gilbert, 67-63. ADM produced 18 assists on 24 made baskets. Three Tigers finished the game in double figures led by senior Koby Hardcastle with 21 points on 13 shot attempts. Sophomore Nate Mueller added 13 points, and junior Jaxson Milsap chipped in 10 points. Unselfish play continues to highlight ADM’s recent success producing 40 total assists in wins versus Perry (22) and Gilbert (18). ADM, who ranked last in the Raccoon River Conference last winter with 200 total assists, is leading the league with 98 assists through six games. The Tigers are averaging 17.8 dimes per game during their current five-game winning streak. That’s the longest winning streak for the ADM boys basketball team since winning seven straight games to qualify for the 2012 Class 3A Iowa State Boys Basketball tournament. ADM improves to 5-1 on the season and hosts Carroll Tuesday for sole possession of first place in the Raccoon River Conference standings.
