Jefferson Hy-Vee reminds everyone that later today they are giving away 100 free cured hams to the first 100 customers.

Hy-Vee Store Director Lori Subbert says they are partnering with Hormel and it is the first time that the Jefferson Hy-Vee location has been selected to be on Hormel’s annual route for their free ham giveaway. She adds that it is a first come, first served basis and no prior purchase is necessary. The focus is on less fortunate families. It will be from 2 to 3:30pm in the parking lot.

Local law enforcement, first responders and emergency medical personnel will also be on-hand giving out the free hams to residents and families.
