Guthrie Center residents are reminded they can take in the holiday splendor at the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library.

The library is hosting the 18th Annual Festival of Trees where people can vote for their favorite decorated tree at the library. The top three most-voted trees will receive monetary prizes at the end of the month. Patrons can also check out other holiday displays such as a nutcracker and quilt collections. The library has several new books for those wanting something to curl up with this winter, and for those wanting to socialize and play cards, the library hosts cribbage on Mondays from 9-11 a.m. and bridge on Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m.
